The Bank of Greece forms part of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) which comprises the European Central Bank (ECB) and the national central banks (NCBs) of all EU Member States. As of 1 January 2001 the Bank is a member of the Eurosystem which consists of the ECB and the NCBs of euro area Member States.
